LOCATION: Greater Toronto Area
SALARY RANGE:  $72,000-$95,000 + bonus

What Will You Do?
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for all Safety & Wellness programs, policies, processes, and tools across the organization
  • Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to leadership on safety and wellness initiatives
  • Develop, implement, review, and maintain health, safety, and wellness policies, procedures, and programs
  • Establish annual Safety & Wellness objectives and implementation plans based on risk assessments, industry trends, and legislative requirements
  • Coach and support leaders, Joint Health & Safety Committees, and employees to strengthen safety ownership and engagement
  • Ensure mandatory safety training programs, including orientation and WHMIS, remain current and compliant
  • Monitor incident reporting, conduct investigations, identify workplace hazards, and recommend corrective actions
  • Stay current with federal, provincial, and municipal health and safety legislation and ensure organizational compliance
  • Lead employee wellness initiatives and partner with external vendors to deliver innovative wellness programming
  • Conduct ergonomic assessments and provide recommendations to improve employee wellbeing
  • Analyze safety and wellness data, identify trends, and recommend improvements
  • Support patient safety reporting requirements, including adverse event and product quality complaint reporting
  • Participate in special projects and contribute to ongoing organizational improvement initiatives
What Do You Bring?
  • Post-secondary education with a university degree or college diploma
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive experience implementing and managing health, safety, and wellness programs
  • Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation, compliance requirements, and industry best practices
  • Experience working within healthcare, healthcare services, or other regulated environments is considered an asset
  • CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional) or CHSC (Certified Health and Safety Consultant) designation is considered a strong asset
  • Demonstrated ability to investigate incidents, identify risks, and implement effective corrective actions
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience interpreting data, monitoring performance indicators, and identifying trends
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and support change management initiatives
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related business software
  • Fluency in English is required
  • Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset
