Why do you choose/have you chosen to work in recruitment?
I have always been driven by a deep passion for helping others. From my early days, I dedicated my time to volunteering in women's shelters, detention centers, and probation offices. Making a positive impact on someone's life brings me the greatest joy. In the field of recruitment, I find immense fulfillment in connecting individuals with their dream jobs.
What are your areas of specialty within recruitment or what is your specific industry experience?
I possess extensive industry experience, encompassing finance, accounting, sales, professional services, retail, manufacturing, and construction, among others.
What is the worst job you ever had OR the worst interview experience you ever had as a candidate?
The most disappointing interview experience I had was when I interviewed with the president of a company. After the initial interview, she scheduled a second interview and mentioned that she would send the details. However, despite following up twice, I did not receive a response, even though I noticed her active presence on LinkedIn. It's crucial to communicate effectively and respect others' time. Taking just 2 minutes to respond can make a significant difference.
Favourite activity outside of work?
I love hanging out at the beach, enjoying the water, and spending time with my awesome family and friends. But you know what I adore the most? Coming home and snuggling up with my amazing dog, Rocky.
Favourite animal and why.
I absolutely adore animals, but dogs hold a special place in my heart. They offer unconditional love and are truly the best friends anyone could ask for.
Favourite band/singer/genre of music.
Drake, Usher, Mariah Carey, and Whitney Houston are all artists I love. I grew up listening to 90s R&B and still enjoy it today. I also love beach house music, but I have to admit that hip-hop is my guilty pleasure.
