Why do you choose to work in recruitment?
As a creative person, I have always had a passion for writing. I excelled in my Professional Writing program, and as I made my way through my schooling I’ve taken on roles where I can assist my fellow students to the best of my abilities. I love helping my community - I’ve always been someone people can rely on for advice or guidance. To make a career out of helping people achieve their goals is a dream position for me!
What is the worst job you ever had OR the worst interview experience you ever had as a candidate?
I briefly worked at a dollar store after recovering from a major injury. Despite being up-front with my physical limitations and being told they would work around my injury, I was berated consistently for not being able to keep up with the manual labour. It really showed me the lack of concern for their employees' well-being.
I had planned to stay at the company much longer, and once my injury healed I would have been able to do all the normal tasks, however I decided to end my employment early as I did not enjoy working in an environment that did not respect a temporary limitation.
Favourite activity outside of work?
I love playing video games! I spend a lot of time on my PS5. My favourite game series are Persona, The Last of Us, and Fallout. Most recently, you'll catch me playing Expedition 33!
Favourite animal and why.
I love Tigers! I love their adventurous spirit and I admire their ability to balance a warm-hearted attitude with ferociousness. I even named my cat Tiger Lily due to her tiger-like colouring!
Favourite band/singer/genre of music.
I love Ariana Grande, especially the Sweetener album! Also have a major soft spot for Musical soundtracks.
Cilantro: Yay or Nay?
Definitely not - Can’t even handle the smell!
