We are proud to support our esteemed client in hiring a General Manager for their Vancouver office within the third-party logistics (3PL) industry.
 
Our client is a nationally recognized, top 20 non-asset based transportation brokerage founded in 1976. What began as a single office in Los Angeles has expanded to more than 40 offices across North America. Their reputation has been built on operational excellence, long-standing customer relationships, and a culture that supports ownership and growth. Nearly half of their team members have been with the company for over a decade — a strong indicator of leadership stability and internal opportunity.
 
The Vancouver office specializes in produce and refrigerated truckload brokerage and currently operates with a team of 12 employees. This role is ideal for a strong brokerage leader who understands how to run an office, develop people, and drive revenue.

What Will You Do?
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Vancouver brokerage office
  • Lead and develop a team of 12+ staff members
  • Drive revenue growth through sales leadership and strategic planning
  • Maintain direct involvement in new business acquisition while expanding the sales team
  • Develop and execute office-level growth strategies
  • Recruit, mentor, and expand the team as needed
  • Maintain high service standards, particularly within produce and refrigerated truckload markets
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and performance
What Do You Bring?
  • Proven experience within non-asset based truckload brokerage (no LTL-only backgrounds)
  • Previous management experience leading a team
  • Strong understanding of how to operate and grow a brokerage office
  • Sales experience with the ability to generate new revenue
  • Experience in truckload and refrigerated freight; produce brokerage experience is highly preferred
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the confidence to take ownership
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to operate independently while aligning with corporate strategy
