As Head of Finance , you will report directly to the President and lead all financial operations with a strong hands-on approach. You’ll provide strategic financial insights to support key decision-making, implement robust controls, and mentor a team of four accounting professionals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting
- Developing financial models and conducting deep analysis
- Overseeing product costing, pricing strategies, and margin evaluations
- Managing AP/AR, cash flow monitoring, and account reconciliations
- Identifying inefficiencies and recommending improvements
- Ensuring accuracy in HST reporting, month-end closings, and payroll processing
- Supporting special initiatives like grant applications, loan management, and manufacturing system setups
- Cultivating a respectful, accountable, and collaborative finance team
- 5–7 years of finance/accounting experience, including 2–3 years in a leadership role
- CA or CMA designation (preferred)
- Proven background in manufacturing with strong cost accounting skills
- Proficiency in SAP and QuickBooks
- Strong command of financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting
- In-depth understanding of accounting principles and best practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, and time management skills
- Passion for team development and interest in future CFO growth
