The Compliance Specialist will bring solid experience in Human Resources policy and legislation across Canada. They will have proven project management skills, a proactive attitude, and uphold the professionalism and values of the organization.

What Will You Do?
- Monitor, analyze and interpret employment legislation (Provincial and Federal) for any updates/changes that impact the company’s national Human Resources function
- Make appropriate updates to existing HR compliance content or the need for new content
- Translate complex legislative requirements into clear, employer-focused guidance
- Draft, update, and maintain HR compliance content including policies, templates, letters, forms, and news updates
- Leverage tools and technologies, including AI, to support research, content development, and efficiency, while maintaining accountability for accuracy and interpretation
- Support various projects within the Human Resources department: Tracking and reporting on progress, issues, evaluation and assessment of the project’s success
- Support various managers and employees in all areas of the business with interpretation and understanding of various policies and legislation
- Assists with other duties as required
What Do You Bring?
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or other relevant area of study. CHRP (or in progress).
- A minimum of 3 years of post-graduate experience in a Human Resources position in a role focused on compliance, policy.
- Strong project management experience with demonstrated success leading projects from conception to completion
- Considerably well-versed and experienced with Canadian HR legislation and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to work independently or in cross-functional teams
- Highly detail-oriented and organized with a proven track record of producing high-quality, accurate work within defined timelines
- Strong computer skills including MS Office, HRIS proficiencies
- A self-starter with a high level of accountability and integrity
- A valid Passport with the ability to travel to the US on occasion (1-3 times per year)
