The Inside Sales Representative will develop new business (B2B) as well as support existing customers. This role is hybrid with flexible work arrangements. What Will You Do?
- New business development and cold calling: Approximately 20–25 outbound calls daily to generate new business
- Support outside sales efforts and occasionally travel with the team
- Manage inbound inquiries and assist walk-in customers as needed
- Handle quotes, follow-ups, and order entry
- Research new leads and maintain CRM accuracy
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Production, Logistics, Customer Service, Outside Sales, etc. to ensure outstanding customer service
- Attend key meetings and trainings onsite to ensure skills and knowledge are up to date and relevant
What Do You Bring?
- 1 or more years of Sales experience, including cold calling, new business prospecting and lead generation, outside sales. Experience in building materials, construction, or distribution is strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; in-person, telephone, email
- An analytical, resourceful and driven personality with an ability to creatively problem solve
- A proven ability to achieve defined KPI’s and a true “hunter” mentality
- A curious and proactive personality with strong learning ability, organizational skills and the ability to pivot in a fast-paced environment will make you highly successful in this role
- Ability to travel to customer sites occasionally – a valid driver’s license is required
- Strong computer skills including MS Office. Experience with a CRM like Salesforce or similar is strongly preferred.
- Post-secondary completion in Business, Marketing or other relevant area of study is an asset
