What Will You Do?
  

  • Install overhead doors (commercial/industrial), truck restraints, seals, shelters, and various building equipment.
  • Manage truck parts inventory.
  • Make repairs in accordance with manufacturers safety recommendations.
  • Reviews customer issues with management and tech support.
  • Perform work assignments in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act Regulations.
  • Supervise and train helper/apprentice as required ensuring the helper/apprentice works in a safe manner.
  • Keep workplace clean, clear and safe.
  • Ensure that tools and equipment are in good working condition and secure.
  • Ensure that all work orders are completed and signed where applicable and returned to the office for invoicing in a timely manner.
  • Complete daily truck log and trailer log books to comply with CVOR.
  • Maintain all required certificates such as WHMIS, Scissor Lift, Fall Arrest, Working at Heights, etc.
  
  
  
What Do You Bring?
  

  • 2 or more years of experience in the installation of overhead doors, truck restraints, seals, and shelters.
  • Your own basic hand tools (others will be provided).
  • Effective English communication and interpersonal skills both written and oral.
  • Proactive and motivated attitude with a strong attention to detail, ability to follow work instruction and be a positive contributor to a high-performing team.
  • Ability to work at heights and use equipment such a ladders and scissor lifts.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs safely.
  • Valid drivers license in good standing is mandatory.
  • Good welding skills (Arc and Oxy-Acetylene cutting) is required for this position. Other welding skills are an asset.
  • Strong electro-mechanical skills.
  • Continuous learner with a desire to always improve your skill set and deliver high-quality work.
  • Completion of high school is required. Post-secondary education is an asset.
