MT Talent is proud to partner with an award-winning company blazing the way in the food packaging industry. As they continue to grow and expand locations, they are adding an experienced Lead Maintenance Technician / Supervisor
reporting directly to the Plant Manager. This newly created role will lead all maintenance activities, including troubleshooting, repair, preventative maintenance, and process engineering/continuous improvement tasks.
This is a full time, straight day shift opportunity with substantial room for personal and professional growth.

Here’s what you will do:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on specialized / proprietary industrial manufacturing equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Modify and fabricate tooling components as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Supply Chain to minimize downtime and improve efficiency
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety and maintenance standards
- Support creation, implementation, and ongoing reinforcement of Preventative Maintenance program in a brand new facility
- Assist with hiring and training new maintenance personnel
- Complete all required documentation of maintenance activities
- Work collaboratively with external contractors on maintenance and engineering projects
- Drive process engineering and continuous improvement activities within the plant
- Perform analysis and reporting as required
- 5 or more years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance role. Candidates should be well-versed with preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
- Post-secondary education and/or trade licensing in Engineering, Millwright, Electrician or similar
- Welding and/or machining experience is an asset
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with automated machinery, pneumatics, and hydraulics
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and best practices. Experience creating and implementing a preventive maintenance program is an asset.
- Forklift certification is an asset
- Experience sourcing and/or managing contractors is an asset
- Experience with process engineering and continuous improvement projects is preferred
- Solid computer skills including MS Office and ERP or similar systems. Experience with SAP is an asset.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- A passionate and dedicated personality with a desire to complete work to a high level of quality
