We are seeking an experienced dynamic Operations Manager to oversee Technical Services and supporting functions. The Operations Manager will be a hand-on leader with proven experience leading field service and technical teams. The successful candidate should have a proven track record of ensuring projects and services are executed in a safe and effective manner, creating and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and brings fresh ideas to drive the business forward.

What Will You Do?
- Lead and support teams to ensure efficient and effective daily operations
- Promote a safe, accountable, and respectful work environment
- Encourage collaboration, open communication, and continuous improvement
- Provide coaching, feedback, and support to supervisors and field staff
- Ensure work is completed on time, within scope, and to quality standards
- Participate in regular meetings and conduct site visits to support teams and customers
- Develop and maintain standardized processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Coordinate with internal teams to support effective scheduling, inventory, and resource management
- Use data and performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities
- Align daily operations with broader organizational goals
- Monitor field performance to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with procedures
- Address issues and escalations in a timely and effective manner
- Support training and development programs for new and existing team members
- Ensure accurate time tracking, attendance, and adherence to company policies
- Assist with hiring, training, and performance management
- Serve as a point of escalation for customer concerns
- Manage and monitor vendor or subcontractor performance as needed
- Support estimating and project planning activities
- Review ongoing work and key performance indicators to ensure operational success
- Collaborate with scheduling and coordination teams to maximize efficiency
- Ensure work orders are completed accurately and professionally
- Oversee company assets and fleet operations
What Do You Bring?
- Completion of post-secondary education in Engineering or Trades. Additional education or certifications in Project Management, Leadership is an asset.
- P. Eng designation is an asset
- Strong technical expertise is essential. An Engineering background is strongly desired.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in a trades-based, engineering, or technical service operations with at least 5 years of Management experience
- Proven people-leadership experience is mandatory for this role. Experience leading various teams including Field Service, Customer Service, Dispatch/Service Coordination in an effective and engaging manner is required.
- Experience overseeing fleet and inventory operations
- Strong continuous improvement background with proven success bringing new, innovative, feasible ideas to the table, effectively communicating value and potential risks to stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of project management from quotations and kickoff to closeout and evaluation
- Highly analytical, strategic, and process-driven mindset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to present information to technical and non-technical persons, present and negotiate with customers and vendors, engage with staff of all levels
- A high regard for health and safety and alignment with the company’s core values and mission
- Minimal travel required (up to 5% within Ontario).
