- Process payroll for multiple business units with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and timeliness
- Manage payroll calculations for salaried and hourly employees, including overtime, vacation payouts, benefits, and leaves
- Review, reconcile, and audit payroll data to resolve discrepancies and ensure legislative compliance
- Prepare payroll remittances, tax filings, T4/T4A/RL-1 reporting, and related documentation
- Support internal and external payroll audits
- Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize payroll systems, including UKG Pro
- Develop advanced payroll reporting and analytics to support leadership decision-making
- Lead payroll process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancements
- Act as a subject matter expert for payroll-related inquiries across HR, Finance, and leadership teams
- Support complex payroll scenarios including retroactive adjustments, taxable benefits, executive compensation, and multi-province payroll processing
- Participate in payroll-related projects, integrations, and compliance initiatives
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive employee and payroll information
- 7+ years of payroll experience supporting large employee populations and multi-province payroll environments
- PCP designation required; CPM designation considered a strong asset
- Strong experience with payroll systems such as UKG Pro
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and macros
- Deep understanding of Canadian payroll legislation, tax regulations, and benefits administration
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience leading projects and driving process improvements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment
