We are proud to partner with a highly reputable engineering firm to add a Senior Mechanical Engineer to their team. This Senior Engineer will be part of a supportive and forward-thinking firm and has the option to work out of their London, Kitchener, or Kingston office in a flexible hybrid work model.

Here’s what you will do:
- Provide review and professional stamping for mechanical projects across a full range of sizes and complexities.
- Lead the development of mechanical design strategies and concepts for large-scale or technically challenging projects.
- Oversee and conduct audits, feasibility studies, and investigations, preparing detailed technical reports and recommendations.
- Perform site visits to assess project progress, resolve construction challenges, and collaborate with stakeholders on effective solutions.
- Mentor and support intermediate and junior engineers and designers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and growth.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of mechanical design standards, processes, and best practices across the organization.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering. P. Eng designation is required for this position.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive, relevant work experience
- 5 or more years of design experience with central plant systems, including hot water, steam, and chilled water systems
- Significant exposure to DDC control systems, including writing sequences of operations, specifications, and troubleshooting on-site control issues
- Extensive knowledge of codes and standards, including OBC, ASHRAE, CSA, and ASPE standards.
- Design experience across multiple industries, including commercial, industrial, educational, multi-unit residential, healthcare, and government
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with an ability to work collaboratively and strategically with internal and external partners.
- A proven ability to multitask and deliver quality work within defined deadlines. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential to success in this role, as well as strong decision-making skills.
