We have partnered with an industry leader in the commercial / industrial solutions industry to recruit for a new Sales Representative for the Ottawa region! This is a newly added position due to company growth.  With over 20 years of success, they offer a stable and supportive environment where teamwork is prioritized.  The role combines strategic account management, business development, and operational execution to ensure customer satisfaction, retention, and account growth. The role requires proactive relationship management, quoting and budgeting expertise, and strong internal coordination skills.

What Will You Do?
  
Business Development & Account Management
  • Prospect, qualify, and onboard new customer accounts.
  • Develop, manage, and grow customer relationships to drive long-term business success.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their business objectives and develop strategic account plans.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between customers and internal teams to ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand existing accounts through additional products, services, or solutions.
  • Prepare and present proposals, quotations, pricing, and business recommendations.
  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Participate in customer meetings to provide updates, discuss opportunities, and strengthen relationships.
  • Monitor account performance, sales activity, and key performance metrics to identify growth opportunities.
  • Conduct customer visits as required to support relationship management and business development.
Customer Service & Support
  • Manage customer inquiries and provide timely, professional support.
  • Resolve customer concerns and escalations while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with customers throughout the sales and service process.
  • Assist customers with product or service information, documentation, and follow-up activities.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve order, billing, or service-related issues.
Sales & Project Coordination
  • Coordinate customer projects from quotation through completion.
  • Prepare quotations, process orders, and coordinate scheduling and delivery.
  • Work with internal teams and external vendors to ensure projects are completed on time and meet customer expectations.
  • Maintain project documentation and monitor progress throughout execution.
  • Support post-project reviews, customer follow-up, and issue resolution.
  • Assist with proposal development, bid submissions, and other business development initiatives.
Administration
  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities, and account information within the CRM system.
  • Research prospective customers and identify new business opportunities.
  • Track sales pipeline activity and maintain accurate forecasting information.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitor activities, and product knowledge.
  • Prepare reports and other administrative documentation as required.
   
What Do You Bring?
  
  • 2 or more years of experience in sales, preferably B2B
  • 2 or more years of proven customer service experience
  • Experience with industrial solutions, construction, or warehousing environments is preferred
  • An energetic, proactive and driven personality with a desire to learn, grow and succeed
  • Highly organized with a proven ability to prioritize tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Bilingual (English / French) is an asset.
  • Solid computer skills: MS Office, ERP and CRM experience is preferred but can be taught
  • Solid math skills with the ability to use measuring tapes, do basic calculations
  • A confident, resilient attitude
  • A valid driver’s license and personal vehicle are required for this role, along with the ability to travel throughout the defined territory
