Why Are We Looking for You?

We are proud to partner with a leading North American entity with over 600 years of combined experience between 11 locations. We are currently seeking a strategic Vice President, Sales and Marketing for all North American operations.  The VP will be a key component to the company’s ongoing success and strategic growth goals.  They will bring B2B sales and marketing leadership expertise, as well as a proven ability to build meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Here’s what you will do:
   
  • Develop comprehensive sales and marketing strategies tailored to the diverse capabilities and goals of each business unit to maximize new revenue growth and market share.
  • Drive business development initiatives, identifying new opportunities and building strategic partnerships across multiple independent companies.
  • Coach, mentor, and manage a team of Regional Sales Managers to enhance team performance and ensure execution of sales strategies and plans.  May also oversee Contracts and Proposal staff.
  • Support ongoing skills development of the sales team, and identification and introduction of technology to both enhance sales effectiveness and improve team productivity.
  • Provide recommendations to General Managers and Presidents of different business units regarding changes in customer segments, industries, products and/or inside team members.
  • Develop a strategic cross-selling strategy to capitalize on the collective strengths of the 11 business entities, to drive new revenue opportunities with both existing and new customers.
  • Develop pricing intelligence systems to support competitive and profitable opportunity assessments.
  • Provide regular reports and insights on sales performance, forecast updates, and market trends.
  • Maintain a strong customer and industry network to support business growth and brand positioning.
  • May perform other tasks as deemed appropriate.

Here’s what we’re looking for:
   
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or other relevant field of study.  MBA or additional qualifications are an asset.
  • Proven experience in sales leadership with a minimum 8 years in a senior level role, overseeing North American sales and marketing activities.
  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, and/or construction sectors is required. Steel industry experience would be a huge asset.
  • Experience leading sales strategy across multiple businesses units and geographical areas is required.  A proven ability to connect with departmental and operational managers to understand unique needs and curate effective sales and marketing strategies for different business units is required.
  • Strong business development acumen with a track record of growing revenue in complex, multi-entity environments. 
  • Exceptional coaching and leadership skills with experience managing and scaling regional sales teams.
  • Proficiency in developing and utilizing sales and marketing systems and analytics tools.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office, CRM (Hubspot), social media platforms and other sales/marketing related software.
  • Valid drivers license and passport with the ability to travel throughout Canada and the US occasionally.
